These are just very light yellow plastic. A test for polarization using a smart phone LCD shows hardly any change at all. In fact, there may be zero change and it is only my imagination that the glasses become darker when turned perpendicularly to the screen. Unlike my DOCU sunglasses, which ARE polarized, and will turn a much darker shade when turned perpendicular to the LCD screen. I will probably return these glasses and look for some that are more polarized which should help with the glare of oncoming traffic lights at night.
