Bought for a 3 month old child. He likes to lie on his back and look at not only hanging objects, but also bows with polka dots and stripes. He looks up, smiles and mumbles. It is very easy to assemble. As they say newborns see black, white and red first, I think this makes a great gift for a newborn.
