While installing this screen and choosing a hardwire I found an unusual difference in the proposed schematic. The user manual states that if using a hardwired configuration, the black wire is common and the white wire is hot. This is the exact opposite of how wiring is done in most homes. I called tech support twice and each time they confirmed the instructions were correct and stated that no one had ever called about this issue. Against my better knowledge, I connected it according to the operating instructions. When I tried to flip the switch it gave me a red error without actually flipping the switch. I assumed this meant it had detected a polarity issue. Glad I didn't try to control the screen! Once I changed the wiring to standard (white-white; black-black), I reset the switch and there was no error. The screen works as it should. I suspect nobody ever reads the manual, but I rarely do. Very frustrating. Evaluation may be premature due to the lack of actual use and mainly due to the perceived value of the resulting product.
