Best Packing Tape for Envelopes, Postage and Shipping Materials

I have moved many times and packed hundreds of boxes. I've tried every clear packaging tape, from nameless brands to the most expensive. Without a doubt, duct tape is the best and worth the extra cost. There is one caveat to this (and all packing tape). They have a maximum shelf life of around 2-3 years when they stop sticking and start rising.
