I seriously doubt the accuracy of the label which says the fabric is 45% silk and 55% pashmina. This is an inexpensive scarf, most likely made entirely from man-made materials such as viscose and acrylic. It's worth what it's worth. In this case, the word "pashmina" in the descriptor should refer to the type of garment and not to the expensive cashmere wool known as pashmina. On the plus side, the fuchsia color is nice and fits the look on the web quite well. I would also say that the "hand" fabric is softer than one might think due to its slightly coarse weave. My main issue with this product is that the scarf has a bright white tag stuck to it that is both unattractive and difficult (if not impossible) to carefully remove without damaging the fabric. For this reason, I would only recommend this article if you are sure that the aesthetic of the [ugly] label will not bother you. It should be noted that after making a purchase and ruining my scarf due to a failed attempt to remove the tag, I read another post saying that wetting the tag allows it to be closed remove.
