If you haven't tried the Emjoi Micro-Pedi for Feet, give it a try. It looks like a small lady's razor and has small rollers wrapped in sandpaper. You remove the roller guard, turn it on and slide it over the bottom of your foot. It's quick and doesn't hurt. It may even seem like it's not working. I was one of those people who always used a pumice stone when bathing or showering. I've also used a flat spade file, and yet sometimes I still had those little jagged edges on my heels that I felt at night when I got into bed and slid my feet back over the sheets. I just couldn't make them go away completely. BUT I tried one of these a few years ago and gave up on anything but that. I don't use a pumice stone, I don't need an emery board for my feet - this thing works great! I can sit anywhere to work on my feet. It comes with 3 grit levels on rolls. Keep a floor towel handy because you'll see dried dead skin falling off like a waterfall of talcum powder. That's great. Also, I haven't had those little cracked edges on my heels since I started using them.
