You will need them if you are replacing ANY bushings on a 700r4 transmission.
. Money. I just rebuilt my 700r4 in my truck and just had to replace the front and rear bushings. OF ALL the bushings I have, there was none that matched the front and rear hubs. Trust me, finding a hub driver kit that fits is nearly impossible. I've been driving around town all day looking for it. Then I had to swear that I had NOT invested in a metal lathe that would easily solve this problem. However, instead of buying an expensive metal lathe, I bought this driver kit. I've done my job and if for some reason I need to rebuild another 700r4 or my first 4L60e I'm ahead in my opinion.
