I got this for my newborn daughter's nursery, bought it while I was pregnant and missed the return window or I would have sent it back... I sleep there most nights too - and it's almost impossible for me to fall asleep with this thing on, it's so bright even in sleep mode. I can sleep anywhere. I'm not very picky about sounds and light, but it's practically daylight. Cleans great no complaints discolors when frying etc eliminates any odours...would be perfect if someone doesn't want to sleep in the same room with it on. Also, sometimes it vibrates/clicks, so it might bother someone. I read the manual cover to cover to see if there is a way to turn the lights off and if there is a way other than sleep mode (it's a joke, it's still so bright). Overall I wouldn't recommend it as there are better alternatives.
