I bought these for one reason: to prevent oatmeal from overflowing the bowl in the microwave. I'm tired of being glued to the microwave watching oatmeal rise and fall in its bowl and over and over through the walls and onto the microwave floor. With these large enough casings, I set the timer for 5 minutes and leave it until the oatmeal is done. The oatmeal stays in place. The bowls wash perfectly in the dishwasher and put in the cupboard.
