I used perforated metal tape to attach 14 gauge fencing wire to the garden stakes. After erecting a 2" x 4" and 4" x 4" garden fence from treated lumber, I used perforated metal hanging straps to secure the 14 ga metal fence to the tree. I cut a short piece of the hangar's metal tape, bent the tape around the 14 ga wire fence, and attached the metal fence to the tree with a 3/4" pan head screw. This belt is easily cut with heavy scissors (I used sheet metal). Scissors). Then I folded the strap in half, attached it to the railing and secured it with a screw. Simple and reliable and looks pretty good.
