I would not recommend this for a toddler.

While it's well made and doesn't look cheap, I wouldn't recommend it for young children. It's not soft. I would definitely not recommend this to a child. The adult who loves to deeply exfoliate their skin. If it had been softer it would have been perfect. Also, the hanging loop should be at the bottom, not the top, to allow all the water to drain out of the hole you put your hand in.
