Review on πŸ”’ Nanuk TSA Approved Case Lock: Travel Securely with this Innovative Lock Solution by Cindy Roffelsen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Sturdy industrial construction

ADVANTAGES: Sturdy construction. CONS: Heavy. Bulky. Cannot maintain a tight seal unless the electrical latch is engaged. The tightness problem can be solved if Nanuk supplies rubber bushings to close the gap between the shaft head and the cover. The thickness of the sleeve must be greater than the gap so that it presses the lid against the lid gasket but does not interfere with the latch snapping. Of course, the best solution would be to fit Nanuk TSA Power Claw replacement locks. But at a much higher price. And it is not compatible with ALL Nanuk cases. I recommend that the split bushings be the same orange color as the wavy line so you know if it gets lost. And different thicknesses to suit the different gaps of different cases, for example the gap on 910 seems to be smaller than on 935. When I get there I will make my own bushings and post them here.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Long wait
