Review on Jackson Safety Lightweight Ratcheting Protective Gear by Robert Correa

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great but there are better ones if you can find it

DEAR FRIENDS: I bought 4 types of shields from Amazon and wore them for several days. The shield idea is way better than the N95 "medical" mask. In short: Duo Mask: uncomfortable, grossly overpriced. Selllstrom S39010: sufficient. From the ones you can buy now, BUY THIS and feed the headband with Dr. Scholl's Moleskin. Selllstrom S39110: Most inconvenient is that you have to remove the COVER headband insert and replace it with moleskin. You also get a more solid head size adjustment mechanism, but if you're the only one wearing it, it doesn't matter. Selllstrom S32010: Of the 4, this is the most comfortable with a solid adjustment mechanism and headband padding. Amazon currently only sells it to hospital bills, but it may be available from Grangers and other sources. BUY IT IF YOU FIND IT. DAS: Jackson Max View #14200: Very nice, with a solid border around the transparent front. This will remind you where the sign is when you eat. Its mechanism is excellent, but if you try to put it on while dining in a restaurant, the bottom edge of the frame will obstruct your view. For me an equal choice with the Sellstrom S39110 so it depends what you find to buy. DO NOT FORGET to remove the plastic cover from BOTH sides of the lens. It's not obvious and the lens seems opaque, but once the protective film is removed everything is crystal clear.
