It has all the above features and converts in seconds. No straps to attach/reposition, no wasted time adjusting. He just eats and is done. Quickly pull the side straps, hang it on your back and head to the airport or grocery store. Need to grab your wallet? shrug and boom, that's all. Stand in the queue? The smaller size makes it harder to overload, so the weight can be carried comfortably as a shoulder bag or backpack, but still big enough to toss around a Kindle or magazine. A win!
