I'm building a media server for my RV. Firstly, it runs on 12V, but you will need a voltage stabilizer in a mobile environment as vehicle voltage covers a wider range than a PC can handle, or use the included 120V wall outlet when connecting or shutting down the inverter. It's not a flashy machine and won't be able to play graphically intensive games on it. Aside from that, it boots pretty quickly since it's completely solid and no spinning hard drive slows it down. I have connected a 7 port powered (12V DC) USB hub to it and connected 5 portable hard drives to it that have my media stored on them. It connects to the LAN in my RV, which provides these files anywhere my 12V WiFi router can reach. I will also connect my RV's security cameras to it. If I don't work for it, I'll come back. I did a hard reset after changing some of my settings. When I tried to re-register it it said I don't have a valid key. I emailed support with my model and serial number and explained what happened. The very next day I received an email with an activation code to use. Excellent customer service.
