Pineeron's amber emergency LED signal has many uses. First of all, the magnetic base is designed to be attached to various vehicles in an emergency or for security purposes. How it works is simple. Two buttons, one for power, one for mode. The mode is either a spinning LED (4 vertical LED lines that look like a spinning light) or a slow blinking light. I prefer the rotating light for safety, it seems more visible. The buttons on the front of the beacon are hard and need to be pressed with force. Which is a good feature for me. The probability that the beacon will be switched on accidentally is low. A really nice feature is that it has a photocell to turn on the light when it gets dark. You turn on the beacon with the photocell on (push button switch in the battery compartment) and the beacon will only activate at night. The lifespan of 4 AA batteries in the beacon is 260-300 hours of operation. Think about how many days you will use. My goal for this is a distress signal for roadside hazards. The large amber dome that lights up with LEDs is more visible and appears more formal (to get people's attention) than the smaller 3-pack LED on-the-go emergency pucks that retail for $20-$30.
