Review on LG 32GP850 B Ultragear: Adjustable 2560X1440, 165Hz, Height & Tilt Adjustment, Anti-Glare Coating by Reggie Jamal

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Solid specs for the price point

On paper the specs are very solid for the price - 32", 1440p, IPS, 165Hz. Had to downsize from 3x24" monitors to a single monitor and overall I'm very happy with this monitor so far. 1440p is my opinion the ideal resolution for 32" because without scaling, text in 4k becomes too small and strains the eyes. low response time for gaming and not curved. I wasn't looking for something curved because I need the maximum space for my desk (curved takes more 1st place) and because I think it's stupid to watch movies on a curved monitor. My choice was between this and the Samsung Odyssey G5 and I ended up with the LG because it's IPS and not curved. Very smooth gaming with the 3080ti and a stable Refresh rate so no complaints Colors are ok Not as deep and rich as other monitors but I don't mind having a little less bright by default . You can always go into the picture settings and adjust the contrast and color temperature to your liking. 92 PPI and you won't notice that there are too many pixels on the screen. The monitor's menu system is pretty good. Very responsive and smooth but some settings are disabled in picture setting when using displayport version 1.4 for some reason. Had to switch to 1.2 to activate the rest of the picture settings. Not that it's a big problem as the bandwidth for 1.2 is still good for 1440p 144Hz but not as intuitive. Overall, this monitor suits my situation and I am very happy with it.
