Review on 💇 Braun M90 Mobile Electric Shaver: Precision Trimmer, Washable - Perfect Razor for Men by Jennifer Hirsch

I was interested in a cheap compact travel shaver and have been using different models of Braun shavers for almost 30 years. I have developed effective techniques such as pre-shave solution, skin stretching, shaving instructions, which are very important for using foil successfully. However, all beards are different and mine is neither thick nor very stiff. I am currently using Series 7 which is very good. I also have an old Series 5 which is good but needs more time and attention to get good results. I tried the M90 on my typical one day grow and was pleasantly surprised with the results. The shave was just as good as the old Series 5 (new foil) just a little longer. I also liked being able to hear when the hair was being cut or the area was being treated. The M90 uses "Smart Foil", which features a pattern of irregularly shaped holes in the shape of daisies. A few years ago all Braun razors used this foil, but now they all use the "optifoil" design which has a smooth pattern of identical holes. I have no opinion on which worked better, but "smart foil" actually seems to cut off hairs that grow at odd angles, like along the crease at the nape of the neck. I wouldn't recommend using this razor as a daily adult razor, but as a travel razor it will definitely work for me and doesn't require a bulky power cord. Update: After very light and sporadic use, the foil failed with a hole irritating my skin before I realized the fault. This is only the second time in over 20 years of using Braun razors that I have experienced a foil failure. In another case, the shaver was used daily for at least 1 year. The part is not easy to find and the foil is sold separately from the cutter. Replacing both will cost the same as a new razor.
