I had a privacy screen not long ago but it seems to be of good quality for the price. The viewing angle cropping is not instantaneous as the screen only gets darker as the viewing angle increases until the screen is no longer visible. The screen dims a little, but not by much, and I don't notice it after the first day. The touchscreen works through the privacy screen, but is much less sensitive. That screen isn't billed as an efficient touchscreen, though, so that's not really a downside. The size of the privacy screen is EXACTLY the size of the monitor screen so it does not overlap with the monitor frame. Fixing the two options offered is a bit problematic: Option 1 is a transparent double-sided adhesive tape that you have to stick on the screen itself. Since I have a touch screen, this was not acceptable to me. Option 2 is a set of adhesive clips that attach to the monitor frame and hold the privacy shield to the monitor screen. These clips also allow you to remove the screen as needed. I found the clips held the privacy screen well, but they didn't hold up very well and eventually fell off after a few days. Option 3 I came up with after the clips fell off is some small pieces of tape. Peel off the tape between the corners of the privacy screen and the frame of the monitor. It seems to be holding up well with minimal issues. Overall, if I was in dire need of a cheap privacy screen that worked with minimal research, I would probably buy this screen again. Although I'd probably buy a little more to have some overlap with the frame.
