Well I think sometimes the connection between China and Revane is skewed. I wanted what I saw in the pictures and that's exactly what I got: a women's army green synthetic parka. So until the text description is corrected, use photos instead. Until I looked at the label I thought maybe it was a downmix. The padding has a slippery feel, which I would associate with down, but it's definitely not as compressible as 100% down. In fact, it was in a big package, like a thick blanket. So don't expect it to shrink down to a tiny size for travel or hiking anyway. I ordered the small size without asking my wife first. But she has a couple of skinny adult daughters and we have an 8-year-old girl, so I knew it would work out for someone in the end. It turned out to be just the right size for my wife who is about 5ft 5in and weighs 130lbs. And she really likes it. We live in Upper Michigan where temperatures sometimes drop to -15 F or even colder. And my wife is from the Philippines, where everyday life consists of fumbling with bananas on the sunny beach or trying to crack open coconuts for food. She says it's the warmest coat she's ever seen, and I suspect she probably didn't. I would have stayed away from key parts of my body to squeeze in if it were a little smaller. As an army veteran, I like this green color. It seems serious. The zips, especially the main zip, are nice and strong looking, although the clasps on the zips look like they could be die cast zinc alloy rather than the more durable and desirable solid brass. The stitching and overall construction look great. Well, my wife and I agree: this coat combines a feminine look with a serious arctic vibe that offers excellent protection against the cold.
