Good universal camera but with limitations

I've been a very loyal Panasonic Super ZOOM camera phone for the last 6-7 years. When I discovered this Samsung device, I decided to give others a chance. Having tried this camera several times since receiving it last October (2013), here is my review. Pros: 1. It took pretty good shots indoors and outdoors with decent lighting.2. There hasn't been a shot that's as good in low light. A little grainy. This may be normal for all "Point End Fire" units, but this one seems more obvious than the others.3. The camera is very versatile and has a very long zoom. The images are not super formed, but acceptable. However, do not try to zoom in fully with the camera, as most of the time the image will be a bit blurry.4. In addition, the touch controls of this camera are unique and practical. There are many features that I haven't been able to test yet. WiFi sharing is another reason I bought it. I will update the review when I do. Cautions: 1. If you use this camera to record some sports and outdoor activities, such as family videos while hiking or skiing. The camera did not focus consistently during the zoom recording. This can start with blurry images or loss of focus during zoom recording. I had no way to confirm what would make it blurry when zoomed in. It seems arbitrary to me. My guess is that the camera might not have a processor fast enough to handle zoom when recording video. Alternatively, it can be fixed by updating the device firmware. Not sure how that even happened. Our three Panasonic cameras very rarely did this. Maybe Samsung can answer this question.2. Another annoying problem is that the cameras have very slow cycle times when shooting close together. This slowness persists even when the camera is on. I'm not sure if this is due to the memory module I'm using (32GB Class 10 SDHC) or just a slow processor (we're back). I wish this could be fixed with a software update. I'm pretty sure Samsung's processor isn't that bad after all. Overall I'll rate this camera as a regular 3 star if I can't solve the above issues. Later more...
