Quilted Pile Rug is literally a rug with a pillow on top and another quilt on the side for coverage. There is no pillow or padding on the "mat". On the contrary, it seems that the quilt that the child is supposed to cover himself with is thicker than the intended part of the rug. It's cute and the blanket is very soft. This may be suitable for use at home in a cot or on a thick carpet or rug. Unfortunately this does not meet the requirements of a bedspread as it is too thin. Wanted this as a pile rug at school as vinyl rug covers can be difficult to deal with. Doesn't meet our requirements. Wouldn't recommend it. Will return.
