Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Ultimate Performance: Osprey Raptor 14 Men's Bike Hydration Backpack by Steve Campbell

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Nice bag but they saved on new tanks.

I love this bag, but the fact that the tank that comes with it doesn't have the quick-disconnect hose like previous models annoys me a bit. This has always been standard and made cleaning a lot easier - now all I have to do is remove the hose from the factory fitting and clean the entire length with a hose brush? This is the expected lifespan of this tank! I hate when companies remove useful features to save pennies and it's frustrating, so see how Osprey does it here. If you order the 2.5L tank separately, the quick release is still standard (at least that's what the picture on Revain says). I should definitely take a few stars off one of the most expensive hydration packs to cut corners, especially when the older version was more comprehensive and less expensive. It might be time to go back and switch to a different hydration system.
