I really like this mascara for one main reason: it does NOT irritate the eyes, even when applied this morning tonight. For me, this is a very rare experience, even with other "fine" brands. Except that I can wear it for more than an hour or two. This is a good mascara that is easy to apply and adds volume. It doesn't lengthen my lashes very much. I don't have any flaking or other issues that I've had with other mascaras. It doesn't seem to lengthen my pathetic short lashes much, if at all. The black really makes a positive statement about what I have. I don't think I can expect more, right? This is a waterproof version (there are two options in this product listing). It's really waterproof. I learned this from laughing so hard I cried with my friends. Not exactly scientific, but I still think it's a good test. It goes very easily with my eye make-up remover (Mountain Falls, very similar to Neutrogena eye make-up remover). When I come home tired and just tumble into bed, my morning shower and good old soap and water wash it completely away. This Rimmel Magnif mascara exceeded my expectations without irritating my eyes. It's not the perfect mascara, but it meets my needs. When I started I only got 5 stars from me if I could wear it without irritation. If you have sensitive eyes this could be a good option.
