I bought this product to wear over a sleeveless summer dress. I'm so glad that I bought it because it's perfect for my needs. I am in my 70's and am uncomfortable about showing my arms until I have a tan so this jacket will be useful for me until then. It's a comfortable weight is some what sheer but hangs with a nice drape; a little heavier than I expected but I think it will be OK until the weather is really hot but by then I'll have some colour.I hope! I', thinking that it will work well for me in a restaurant where I usually shiver in the A.C. or a Movie theatre.The neck comes up high enough that the garment hangs comfortably and the sleeves are just right at wrist length. I am 5' 8" and wear a size 16 so I ordered the XL which is perfect, so I would say that it runs true to size. All over a very nice item for my wardrobe and I recommend it.
