Review on πŸ‘˜ N Natori Women's Plus-Size Congo Robe: Luxurious Comfort for Curvy Ladies by Renee Stahl

Great lightweight robe

This robe is exactly what I was looking for - I live in Texas on the Gulf Coast so it's hot here about 9 months of the year and the other 3 months are a split personality of the weather. I needed a robe that I could comfortably wrap around me to cover inappropriate pajamas, varying degrees of nudity, or simply nothing so I could open the door or rush out if necessary. This bathrobe is exactly that - it fits me comfortably, not too big and certainly not too small! The length of the robe is slightly shorter than the photo - I'm 5'8" and it comes to mid-calf (which is what I actually wanted) and the sleeves are just over 3/4 the length (short enough to get tangled). I love that there is no shawl collar so nothing needs to be folded or ironed in the wash. The dark mottled gray was exactly what I was looking for and is quite a hard to find bathrobe!Viscose and polyester blends .It's fairly thin so it packs well but doesn't add a huge amount of warmth if that's what you're looking for.It helps with air conditioning colds.which we get on summer nights in Texas though. It doesn't show through when worn, only if there is a cloth backlight you can see through it pockets are along the seam so easy to use I will use this at home and when I travel so I have some sort of hiding place - I've never had one Bathrobe which was really packable but I was so shocked at the size of this pack when I received it that I know I will turn it out well. The only flaw I found (easily fixed in 5 minutes with a needle and thread and ultra-basic skills) is that there are no belt loops on the hips, just a large continuous loop on the back of the robe. This means if you wear your robe open and then need to zip it up, you'll either have to tighten your tie before buttoning the robe, or it's more cumbersome to tie it after you've wrapped it around you. As I said, this is an easy fix - add two loops in the hip seam for the belt to go through and hang there. It made no sense to me until I put on my robe and tried to tie it and found I had to reach for my back to tie my ties. A very small problem and not worth buying this wonderful robe IMO! I had my eye on this robe and Jockey's cotton robe with attached belt but it didn't come in the gray I was looking for. I decided to start here and then try if necessary. Well, not necessary! (I'm sure Jockey is good, this brand is great but colors were limited).
