These containers are a great size for liquids and lotions, but the lids are very difficult to remove when new. I've found they're not really too tight, it's just that when trying to unscrew the lid I squeeze them to hold them in place and this makes them difficult to remove. A light touch is required to remove them. Inside they have a flat plastic cap to prevent liquid from leaking out of the cap thread. They are very convenient for travel and when buying in bulk to give to other family members.
