Review on πŸ”Œ Prime Products 08 0917 Power Extension Cord by Ryan Brunson

Good for proper use

I needed a solution to connect my dashcam to the rear 12V DC cigarette lighter socket on the back of my car as only the front and rear plugs activate when fired (two middle ones are always included). Given that the DVR uses minimal power/power, this was a perfectly viable option. The cord was thin enough to tuck into the moldings that run along the edge of the car and was about 99% hidden. Because the amperage isn't too high, you won't want to use it for an air compressor or car vacuum unless you want to change fuses every time you run it. However, it will certainly work for phone chargers, satellite radios, portable audio devices, GPS devices, etc. The construction feels solid - the jack provides a solid connection to plug-in accessories, while the plug securely connects to a DC outlet. When considering buying one, think about what you will be using it for. If you want minimal amperage but lots of cord length, this should work great. If you need something heavier you can look elsewhere. ADVANTAGES: - Sturdy construction - Long length - The cable is thin enough to be easily hidden. Minuses: - Limited amperage.
