I bought one of these to complement my existing Prismacolor pencils of 120+, Prismacolor Very Thins pencils, Staedtler set of 20 and my small color collection Tombow Irojiten- to store pencils and a few small things. I love this pencil case so much I ordered a second one to hold my full set of Faber Castell Polychromos. For Polychromos I used to use the trays that come with the set but the problem was that they never stayed the way I needed them. I like reading the pencil number and/or color name. Now everything is nice and tidy, I can read all the colors and numbers of all my pens. Choosing your pens just got a lot easier and more convenient: no more emptying pen cups or rummaging around in a drawer.
