Review on 200 Antique Bronze Tone Metal Blanks: 13/16 Inch Round Stamping Blanks & Charms, 20mm Diameter by Amy Mcleod

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality for thinner metal. Easy to get a nice glossy finish.

They are a bit thin and need to be cleaned and then polished if you want a shiny piece. This can easily be achieved by rubbing with a 000 steel wool or even lightly and quickly with a damp Brillo sponge. You can then buff them with a polishing cloth (I use the Sunshine brand which is sold here at Revain) and you can give these blanks a really nice shine. They are more like a slightly darker brass than bronze but still a very nice colour. It might be possible to apply a patina for a darker and richer look, but I haven't tried that. They are a bit thinner but can be punched and dished if you don't put too much pressure/weight on your tools. You may need to try it on a few blanks before you learn how hard to hit them to get the results you want. If you agree that they are a bit lighter/thinner then you will be happy with this purchase. Overall I find them to be of fairly good quality, although a light cleaning and a little hand polishing can give you a quality finish. All at a very good price.
