Review on Colap Mexican Blanket Acrylic Polyester by Sharon Griffin

I wish they were a little softer. *Crying in Spanish*

That's it. For now, I'm giving up my quest for Virgin Mary blankets that are actually "super soft". I once bought a Solaron Guadalupe blanket and it was very soft. It was one of those Korean mink/San Marcos down jackets and I fell in love with it. It cost me a pretty penny, about $80. It's 1/2 the price so what did I expect? Look, the blanket looks exactly like the picture, the colors are beautiful and the size is right. What about real softness? I'm not even mentioning thickness because I knew it wouldn't be super thick given the price I'm paying and it isn't, but that's not the point. My bitterness comes from how the blanket feels. It's not the softest. It's soft, but not "SOFT". Imagine leaving one of these blankets out in the sun for a while and it gets a little "prickly" or "hard"? I wish I could explain better but the point is that it might be very thick and heavy because it's as thick as a regular cast compared to the 12lb Solaron I bought. maybe that's why it's prickly. I'm afraid to wash it but I'll see if it softens up a bit anyway. The main reason I am NOT returning these is because they are MADE IN MEXICO and as a Paisan mate I am all for supporting Raza and Mexican businesses so I will endure and keep it. Also, Virgin Mary quilts are hard to find (and believe me, I've been looking!) so I'm NOT getting rid of them ANYWHERE for the sake of collecting! , Solaron, 12 LB Korean Mink Blanket then you don't have anything else like it and maybe it will suit you.
