There aren't many Microsoft Surface 3 (or Pro 3/4) Rugged Cases on the market. This case kind of reminds me of those simple cases that fit iPads with rubber bumpers. But with more content. Rubber padding on the edges of the tablet and the tablet fits snugly against the hard plastic back. There's no screen, so you'll need to buy some sort of screen protector. I would recommend tempered glass screen protectors which you can find here at Revain. The best defenders you can get. You can use Microsoft Surface Keyboards as they fit very well. and can also serve as a screen protector. The plastic back has a rear arm that can be positioned and holds the tablet in the desired position. Here's one of two flaws that I haven't paid much attention to. You have to be careful with the arm as the place where it attaches to the frame is pretty flimsy. If you bought an open box and when it arrived one of the hind legs was pulled out. So I need to find a way to put it back and secure it. It still works fine and all, but I could tell someone just tugged at it until it eventually broke. A REALLY nice feature of this case is that there is a place on the back of the tablet to store the pen. There is a cut-out on the sleeve with a fabric loop. You always pocket your pen when you don't need it and don't want to lose it. The tablet lies flat and level even with the pen attached. Another thing I didn't care about and that worries me the most is the rubber bumper. It's fairly secure around the entire perimeter of the tablet except for one spot. On the right edge, where all of the tablet's ports are located, the rubber band moves slightly away from the tablet. It's a bit loose I have to say. This is due to the cutouts for all ports. The cut-out for the power supply is large and not reinforced like the rest of the rubber edges. So there is some free giving back. I don't see that as a problem, but I should have mentioned it. Next to. I like the way this case looks and feels. It's light and doesn't add much to the overall weight. The back cover is made of transparent acrylic plastic. Very stupid. The rubber edges I feel will definitely help protect the tablet from accidental drops. Of course, I'm not going to intentionally drop my tablet to see if the case actually works or not. But I have a feeling it will do what I need. I would like the rubber rims of the cases to have closable rubber cutouts. like Otterbox iPhone and iPad cases. The rubber caps give you extra grip when closed to reinforce areas where the rubber seems to be loose. Then when you need access to it, just open it up and plug in whatever you need.
