Hello readers of the Review. Today I want to talk about the Sigma 60W glue gun. My youngest son loves to build all sorts of mechanisms and used a glue gun from another manufacturer very closely. Also, my wife loves to do all kinds of needlework and also uses a glue gun in her work. But our old glue gun had two significant drawbacks. It took a long time to warm up to working condition, and after heating it constantly dripped glue from the spout. As a result, it was decided to look for something more functional. ADVERTISING • BETWEEN EXCHANGE For a long time I chose and read reviews on various resources. Initially, I liked the Dremel Glue Gun 940, but the price scared me off. As a result, I settled on this model - the Sigma 60W glue gun (2721081). Almost the same parameters. It differed only in that it did not have a folding stand and a removable power cord. But the price difference of almost 6 times finally helped to make a choice in the direction of Sigma. It comes in a transparent plastic package. On the reverse side of the package in two languages (among them Russian) are instructions for use and brief technical specifications. The kit comes with a glue gun and a metal stand. When assembled, it looks like this. During operation, the stand folds into a special recess in the case. This is very convenient, since it does not interfere with other objects. On the one hand, there is a sticker indicating the manufacturer and model number of the device. On the other side there is a sticker indicating the operating voltage and power of the pistol. As you can see from the marking, it can work not only from 220 V, but also from 110 V. Although I assume that at 110 V its power will be four times less, i.e. 15 W. There is a power button on the handle, and below it is an indicator that indicates the operation of the device. This is very convenient, because every time after using the gun you do not have to unplug the power cord from the outlet, just turn it off with the button. The length of the power cord is quite large - 1.4 meters. It's always enough and its length does not cause any inconvenience. There is a softening element at the place where the cord enters the pistol handle, which does not allow the wire to break much during operation. I would like to pay special attention to the nose of the pistol. It is made of brass, thin enough, making it very convenient to work with them. You can even get into tight spaces. But the main advantage of the gun is the presence of a special valve in this spout. Thanks to this valve, the glue never flows out of the gun on its own. And this, in addition to ease of use, also has a positive effect on glue consumption. The gun works with 11.2 mm glue sticks. Warming up and readiness for work takes about a couple of minutes, although the instructions indicate that you need to wait 5-8 minutes. Apparently, it depends on the type of glue sticks. But this gun, unlike the previous one, heats up much faster. This is due to the higher power. Our previous pistol had a power of 15 watts, and this one has 60 watts. The only nuance that I found is the rather high temperature of the spout during operation. And if you accidentally grab it with your hands, you can get burned. In general, I really liked the gun, the trigger is quite large and easy to press, the glue does not spontaneously flow out, the nose is thin and comfortable.
