Wow it's just a piece of crystal and metal. Looks like the manufacturer coated them with a horrible oil-like chemical. What a smell! We washed them and washed them and washed them again and again with dish soap and then with alcohol. But the terrible smell still didn't go away. We then left them outside for a couple of weeks and then repeated the washing process. However, the smell was there! Imagine what that would do to a person who keeps touching it just to turn the light on and off. Dangerous! It was such a disappointment. We'll definitely buy elsewhere and check where they're coming from. .Good luck with your shopping and I hope you find something you love that is healthy and safe. :-)
