Review on πŸ‘” Mission Belt Men's Ratchet Buckle: The Ultimate Must-Have Accessory for Men's Belts by Reggie Hobbs

Revainrating 4 out of 5

So far, so good. I like ratchet straps.

A few weeks ago I snapped a ratchet strap from a popular competitor here at Revain. The strap material eventually wore out after about a year, and that's easy. Broken. I looked around for a more durable and reliable replacement hoping to find something made in the USA. I tried the Grip6 belt, but its strange mechanism struck me as finicky. I decided to try this mission belt and so far I like it. I was disappointed that it is made in China but I have to say the quality seems better than expected. I have an iron buckle and a gray canvas strap. It's gray on gray but I like the understated look. The buckle is heavier than expected, but it's not actually iron or steel; it's aluminum with a cool "hammered" finish. The canvas strap is clearly much stronger than the horrible "real leather" on my old strap. I assume this one will last much longer. I will completely update my review if it doesn't work! The ratchet system works well. It has a good form fit and isn't annoyingly loud when it snaps into place. The tape can be cut to the desired length with sharp scissors. The teeth that hold the strap in the buckle are pretty stubborn. The ratchet trigger has a light texture, making it easy to find and grab with your finger. I'm weird and I wear my straps "back to front" so the strap goes right hand instead of left so my buckle is "wrong way around" and I unclip it from the top with my thumb. I have two very minor complaints; I wish the ratchet rod had more travel. There's nothing wrong with that, and I'll probably get over it very quickly. Others had some very small imperfections in the buckle finish. It had two small "hooks" that are probably left over from casting. I have a little protuberance on my stomach, so I noticed it as I sat. I connected them and everything is fine. In general I like it so far. The quality seems good for the price until I have to replace it after a year.
