This is a thin weave which helps make it less bulky. But it leaves lint on your clothes or anywhere it comes in contact. I washed and tumble dried mine before wearing it and there was a ton of lint left in the dryer drum. It looks like long cat hair. However, after washing and drying, the hair looked a bit fluffy and some of the fringed ends fell off. I bought it for a trip to Europe, otherwise I would have sent it back. But he did his job and kept me warm. But overall I'm not satisfied. I would not recommend it.
