Review on πŸ•―οΈ 24 Pack of 7-Day Sanctuary Candles by Steven Saric

UPDATE on "Something has changed. They lasted just over half the time than the previous order. "

2nd update: 3/7/2020 Seller not only refunded but sent also free an extra suitcase hoping that the problem was an anomaly. And so it was! the new case is designed for a full 7-8 days, as in my previous experience. I am so happy with this seller! Although there was a problem - not even their fault - they responded quickly and well beyond my expectations. As for candles that burned down in just 4 days: they are made without a wick, a hole is formed or drilled - and a wick is threaded through the hole. I suspect the manufacturer had an employee who simply put the wrong wicks in the batch. I ask them (EmKay) to send the correct wicks and I will replace them myself. (No response from EmKay yet.) UPDATE February 25, 2020: The seller of the product was quick to respond by refunding the full amount with no expectation of a refund and escalating the concerns to the manufacturer of the product. One star was given for this quick response and we will update again if the manufacturer fixes the issue for future orders. Original Review: This is the second case of these candles that I have purchased. The first box of candles easily lasted 7 days, often 8. So far, that's the last 4.5 days. This new box arrived last week as we were on our last candle from the old box and the first was lit Tuesday night. Before bed on Saturday night the candle burned so intensely we weren't sure it would last until morning. Instead, they lit another candle, and of course the first candle went out in the morning. Maybe 4.5 days. The first batch had a small flame and left unburned wax residue on the side of the container but lasted 7+ days as advertised. This first candle in the new batch has a stronger flame, no wax residue at the end of the container, but an additional issue is that the plastic on the top of the container has blackened, presumably from the extra heat. Something has obviously changed between the candle bodies, maybe a slightly larger wick? But at $95 per case, the result is that these latter are 60% fewer watches compared to the previous case, meaning the actual cost in hours is $158 per case in practice! The second candle in this case seems to burn just as hot and with the same acceleration. Finally, regarding plastic containers. We didn't cut the wicks short before lighting the candles (for the first time) in the first case we bought. All was going well until the wick of one of the candles bent and snapped, forming an arch. The arc produced a very powerful flame that went unnoticed until we smelled burning plastic. When we found it came from a candle, we saw that the rim of the container had melted completely inwards and turned black. After it cooled we trimmed the wick, relit the candle and there were no more problems. We keep the candles in the lantern with an extra low container to catch wax/plastic in case it melts and ignites unnoticed. We were safe, but without these precautions, a much more serious problem could have arisen. We now trim the wicks before the first lighting.
