All the grommets were loose and the metal bars were loose and wobbly. The metal rods that hold the tips are thin and easily damaged. I re-glued everything with cyanoacrylate glue, that works so far but can't hold the silicone in place. One of the tips, a smaller flat tip, was glued too far to the metal rod making it very flexible and easy to slide out. I couldn't push it further into the shaft so I created a "sleeve" with two part epoxy to stiffen it. It seems to be working now. Also, after a few days of use, I'm not sure if these tips are silicone. If so, then they are of lower quality than expected. No silicone cookware I own has ever "clinched" like this one. Other reviewers made similar comments about the difficult cleaning. I've also tested them by heating them, they will curl and "melt" if heated too much. If you are interested in using them for modeling with any of the modeling waxes (like Casteline) I would NOT recommend this particular brand. they will curl and "melt" if heated too much.
