The sole purpose of purchasing this item was to have it filled with flashing, color changing and glowing lights for the Portland Winter Light Festival. I slipped my portable light-up Bluetooth stereo speakers into each side pocket and turned on their colored neon and strobe settings. That helped. The material is thick-walled, which makes it quite stiff, but still flexible. The construction seems solid enough to last a couple of years. Zippers are a little tricky to work with due to their rigidity. The straps are good and comfortable, but the adjustable loops should have thicker ties at the end to keep them from slipping out. But it's easy to adjust while wearing. Came home from an event with a scuff on the smaller outside pocket but I don't mind. Gives character. I'm sure there will be more in the future. I see this going on for a long time, long enough to lead to many other outdoor events like hot air balloon festivals, sporting events, county/state fairs, UFO festivals. , and other locations where they may wish to search bags at security checkpoints. Might even be suitable for regular small item shopping if you live in an area where thin plastic bags are banned (Maui, Oregon etc) and don't want to carry bags around.
