This was a replacement for another hand held shower head. I reused the hose from our old head as some reviews of this product mentioned leaks in the hose. Installation was easy! Consumption was very good, better than the one I replaced. I didn't have to remove the flow restrictor. In fact, I routed the flow to the shower head where it was for our old shower head. The finish is shinier than typical polished nickel so it doesn't quite match the hose and other details. I like the water saving feature as you can reduce the water flow to a minimum without changing the temperature or flow settings. Simply move the shower control ring to the off position, then move it back when you need full flow. I've only been using it for two days, but so far I'm very happy with it.
