Don't settle for tools and supplies

Years ago I heard that Sephora's MUA suggested someone use rubbing alcohol to clean their brushes. I've been using good old 90% alcohol for years, everything works great! Unfortunately alcohol was almost impossible to find due to the pandemic, so I decided to buy a brush cleaner. The only plus I would give is that it dries quickly (alcohol takes hours for my brushes to dry) otherwise this stuff is pretty crap lol. It took half a bottle to clean the two eyeshadow brushes and she didn't even clean them completely (the color is still on the brush and I use lighter powders!). . I use a cream eyeliner for the inside of my eyes, which also seems to clean up well. It seems to work better with creams and foundations. But powder (usually the easiest to clean) doesn't clean shit. Trust me, if you can find alcohol, just use it! Inexpensive and does its job well and quickly. Assuming you want your brushes to dry quickly, this can also come in handy. Not worth the money and time for me.
