Review on πŸŽ’ High-Performance Arcteryx Blade Backpack: Sleek Cobalt Moon Design by Jessica Baker

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Stylish, practical, thin: A very nice bag, but with ergonomic flaws.

I was looking for a slim, minimalist backpack to carry my computer and computer accessories (chargers, laptops, etc.) when traveling. This is exactly what I needed: much more space than you can imagine from the outside and at the same time very compact. No straps hanging around everywhere. It is not difficult to slide it under the seat on the plane. Nice design and good organization. Separate hidden pockets for keys, travel documents and more. Very durable material. The color of the nightshade wasn't what I expected but it's nice nonetheless: dark blue/green while I was expecting more grey/blue. But it's normal. Also, I would have liked easier access to the pen sleeves in the organizer pocket. I think the flash inside is redundant. But even that is a small minus. The side/horizontal computer pocket is different than what I'm used to, but just takes some getting used to for me. I really like this bag. Additional comments after a few weeks of use: I still like the design and functionality (if you take the time to get used to the horizontal loading, it's really great). However, I was disappointed with the ergonomics: the straps tend to slip off, even when tightened. You must add a chest strap and/or waist strap. What I'm going to do with my bag. Walking around a major airport with a bag and my trolley case wasn't as comfortable as I had hoped. Also, I removed the rigid plate that was supposed to hold the shape of the bag. It has helped my back a lot. I'm glad it was removable. I did a chest strap and finally got used to the horizontal load. It's different, but I like it a lot. This makes the bag look more professional and less mountainous, which is what I wanted.
