Although this quilt is soft, it produces a lot of fluff and down. I washed it when it arrived. It fit perfectly in my washer and dryer, but when it came out of the dryer it was covered in tons of lint. I had to get lint rollers to get rid of all the lint as it wouldn't come out in the dryer. As I brushed the lint off, I pulled on a piece of lint and it came out of the bed covers. I cut it off and the hole was so small it disappeared without padding to keep it open. It's a nice feeling, but the time it took to get rid of everything makes it something I wouldn't recommend to people. I've never had to do this with the other comforters I've had, even though they were all full (I have a king bed because I have a queen bed and love the extra bedspreads). As I use it more and wash more if the problem was only this time I would consider upgrading the rating but for now one star is what it deserves for the time spent.
