They are simply necessary. As someone who travels constantly, I have to admit that I was very suspicious of these so-called travel dice. At the end of the day, the packaging is what it is and you can't significantly reduce pocket space like these manufacturers claim. Boy was I wrong. I don't know how I've traveled without her for so long. I'm definitely a package overweight person, and I'll be the first to admit it, but on a recent international trip, I just couldn't face the thought of having to check my bags in addition to customs, so I went with mine Hand luggage with my big suitcase. duffel bag disguised as my personal item and used these cubes for travel. As I packed I figured there was no way it would close, but it did. Then I opened it up again and put more stuff in and it kept closing. I was able to customize 5 dresses, 10 tops, 4 pants and even underwear. all 3 dice in my suitcase if you can believe it. My other gym bag had enough space to pack more shoes. I ended up only using one laundry bag because I had a built in laundry compartment in my suitcase, but I have used other bags for makeup and hair products. My friend who was traveling with me brought a huge suitcase and we are literally neck and neck on how much we packed. The only difference was the size of the suitcase, her ability to pack a full size since she was checking her large suitcase, and of course the fact that I had those travel cubes and she didn't. I highly recommend these travel cubes. Note: I used the roll method except for the pants and I think that helped too.
