Review on Thomas Plastic Traceable Refrigerator Thermometer by John Springer

We bought this thermometer after reading all the reviews. It's really fantastic to be able to see exactly what the temperature is inside the freezer. Because it's liquid-hardened, the alarm won't go off every time you open the door. This is a great setup except for the wire. We notice that there is a small latch in the freezer door seal where it has to go over the wire. This did not affect the temperature of the freezer, but some ice formed in that area. Has anyone solved this problem? Aside from the issue with the door wire seal, I'd say this thermometer is near perfect. Hope it lasts long. Warning: if you don't read the instructions, you may be overlooking the fact that it needs to be reset if you want to change it from Fahrenheit to Celsius or vice versa, or set your alarm clock's parameters. Other than that, it was easy to set up. A good product!
