This is a VERY softening face cream. I use it sparingly in hot, humid summer weather (and only at night), but it should be perfect for the cold, dry winter months. A word of caution: as this is a tin-style package, use it as soon as you open it! The packaging of jars causes exposure to air and bacteria, and the products degrade. There is no federal regulation mandating expiration dates for skin care products like there is for food. And frankly, we shouldn't share our facial products with others as they can contain a lot of bacteria. I would highly recommend this cream to anyone struggling with dry skin (this product is sunscreen free so is best used at night).
