I have wide feet. And I mean wide. Sometimes it seems to me that the box the shoes come in would fit better. I recently lost my everyday work shoes due to, say, an interesting circumstance on a Friday night. Alcohol was involved. I got distracted, my work shoes didn't need to be replaced, so the universe came to squeeze my hand. A friend of mine had already suggested these Skechers after I inquired about the pair he was wearing. Keep in mind that I usually go for New Balance shoes as they are one of the few athletic shoe brands that offer a 4E width. So I looked at these shoes. 28 dollars? what can i lose I ordered them a few days ago and thanks to the magic of Revain I had them yesterday. My first landing impressions: They were perfect. There's a bit of that new "feel" when you become aware of the sides of the shoe, but I wouldn't call it uncomfortable or snug by any means. Lots of room for toes. The material feels comfortable and the shoes look nice too. Casual enough for a stroll through town and elegant enough for (casual) office shoes. What surprised me the most was the amount of cushioning in the outsole/heel of the shoe. It says it's memory foam, and damn it looks like it. Now the pillow may fall quickly, and after a while I will be disappointed. But these bad boys are doing amazing these days and I love them. Just aside: I got there before everyone else this morning, so I don't usually put my feet on my desk ;)
