Like many others, I was skeptical about the RazorPit when I first saw it. Based on the many positive reviews and the fact that I bought it on sale, I decided to give it a try. The product arrived quickly and when I unpacked it looked like a razor holder but felt like rubber even though it was thick silicone. Directions are pretty easy; After each shave, run the blade across the RazorPit's surface a few times (with some shaving cream to help glide) and you're done. The process takes about five seconds. This process appears to clean the blades and remove any debris on the blade head, which actually extends the life of the blade and keeps it feeling like new for quite a while. To my surprise, my personal results were as follows: I shave 5-6 days a week and before the RazorPit the cartridge lasted about two weeks (10-12 shaves). Now after using the RazorPit the cartridge lasts about 2 months (40-48 shaves). The Fusion Blades I use are $4 each, which is an annual savings of $80! Even if your mileage varies slightly and you use different cartridges or get a few more/less shaves with one cartridge, this article will still pay off. after a few months. It's kind of a no-brainer; My wife even uses it to extend the life and comfort of her pink razors. NOTE: Use this item from the first cartridge change; Don't wait until your blade is old as this product will not sharpen a dull blade, but it will help preserve the cartridge and prevent it from becoming dull. This is one of the best purchases I have ever made from Revain. UPDATE: It's been over a year and I still love this article. I've been toying with the idea of ditching my Fusions and devoting myself full-time to snobbish old-school single-bladed, but the Razorpit negates the financial advantage. I also suppose there should be some research to make these multi-blade cartridges since I get a clean, razor-free shave almost every time, even when I'm half asleep. UPDATE 9/2016: The thing continues to impress. me. Works just as well after more than 2 years. Still increasing the life of my cartridges by 400%.
