As the title suggests, it does just that and nothing more. This is a very strong case. A little on the heavy side. The keyboard is large and comfortable for those with big hands, however, it has one major drawback - while it looks like it's a 2-in-1 case, the lid rotates 180 degrees so it can be used as both a tablet It can also be used as a laptop but it's not. The hinge stops at about 45 degrees. It's also not easy to pry the iPad off the lid once you've put it back on. It's great in terms of protection , but not so good if you use your tablet as a tablet Overall this is a really good case if you really need a laptop, not much if you're trying to optimize its utility.
