Works as it should. Be careful, this is a tender, not a charger! So if your battery has shut down to 0 volts, this product is not for you. You need a charger, say 3 to 5 amps, to give the battery some charge. This device requires at least 3 volts from your battery in order for it to "feel" that it is connected to the battery in order to start charging. The indicator keeps flashing red when the battery is low because it cannot tell if the battery is connected. When the battery voltage exceeds 3 volts, the indicator will flash red for a few seconds and then quickly change to solid red to indicate that a charge cycle has begun. Then it flashes green at 80% charge and green at 100% charge. It will then keep your battery alive for months and can be left permanently plugged in to keep the battery at optimal capacity, turning its electronics on and off as needed.
